Had this Ghostie from Jasons on Saturday 29th April. Not big, but beautiful. Was float fishing with my guest, Steve
Beyless, who is hoping to join us as a new member this season. Fish caught on a worm.
Thursday 4th
May, and back at Frisby again. Intended a full day, but overslept and didn't arrive at Frisby until about 10:30.
By the time I'd had a walk round and a chat with a few other anglers, it was gone lunchtime. Decided on BJs,
float fishing prawns on lift method, with a 3000 size fixed spool reel and a carp waggler
rod.
Had a good
day, steady though. Not a lot of fish caught. Foul hooked a double figure carp, and got bitten off by a very big
Pike, but managed to land two double figure Carp and a nice Tench. All fought well on my waggler rod.
This was the
first of the Carp. This one went 16lb 1oz. Not the best photo, sun was in the wrong place, and didn't realise
until after I'd slipped her back.
This was the
second of the two. This one went 14lb 8oz. Sun in the right place this time, lol.
My Tench
weighed in at 3lb 5oz.
Caught from Jurassic today
(April 16th) Taken off the surface on freelined floater, she gave me a hell of a fight close in and
weighed 21lb 10oz. My first ever 20 and a new PB!
A fin perfect Ide weighing 1lb 4oz caught on Sanctuary using float fished maggot.
Had this Perch
from Lizzies, on Lobworm. Weighed in at 1lb 14oz.
Caught my first ever River Pike!! It was from the AMAL stretch on the Soar. I didn't weigh
it but I'd guess around the 6-7lb mark. Took a float fished smelt.
