 Membership 2025-26 Season

Malcolm Shooter, the Broome Membership Secretary, has informed us that we now have over 800 signed up members for the 2025-26 season.

As June 1st, the cut off time for current members to re-join, has now passed; Malcolm has opened up for new members to apply. Please note that once the ceiling of 850 signed up members has been reached, we will be accepting no more members for this year.

Memberships will be offered on a first come first served basis until the ceiling has been reached. Anyone who's application is received after the 850 has been reached will not be able join and will need to re-apply next season.

Work Partys 2025

The final work party will be held at Frfisby Complex on Sunday 8thJune. Starting 7.30/8.00am.

Please remember that Frisby Complex will be closed to ALL Anglers on this day until 1pm. There will be absolutely NO Exceptions to this rule. Anyone who is fishing when the work party is due to start will be asked to pack up their tackle and leave the venue or they can help out and start fishing once the work is completed for the day.

Please come along and help out if you can. All tools are provided and there will be refreshments for all those helping out. No one will be expected to do anything that they are not capable of doing and the work helps to set up the complex for the new season.

As mentioned before, anyone helping with the work is allowed to start fishing once the work is complete for the day.

Remaining Work Parties

  • 8th June Frisby Complex

The last work party was at Kilworth Complex once again the turnout was pretty low. We wanted to move some of the slabs on Buffalo Lake as they are getting close to the edge of the lake, with it being undercut. In all about 12 slabs were repositioned, as with the numbers helping was low.

There were only four takers for the after work Knock up on Lizzies Lake. Paul Slatcher winning the day with 75lb 10oz from peg 13. Keith Macfarlane netting 17lb 6oz from peg 6 for second place.

Cost Cutter Match 29/5/25

This week's cost cutter match was held on Smiggies lake (silvers only). There was a strong, gusty, wind all day which made it difficult for some. However, weights were not too bad considering. Mick Farmery came out on top again with 38lb 5oz. Alan Smith managed second with 19lb 6oz, and Dave Kimber third with 17lb 6oz.

Next week's match is on BJ’s.
