A stunning
leather mirror ghost carp I caught from BJs on Tuesday 15th June. Caught off the surface. She weighed in at 15lb
on the nose.

Caught this 4lb 9oz bream fishing Frisby Lakes with Jake on Sunday 25th April
2021.
Well, I did
as I said I would, and returned to Sanctuary on Sunday 4th April. Settled in a different swim to the last time,
on the other side of the lake. Had a fairly good day, but it was slow going with the bites coming in bursts.
Managed to catch a nice mixed bag though including 6 species. Roach, Tench, Rudd, Perch, Bream and an ide all
fell to my pole fished worms and maggots.

My best Tench of the day about a
pound.

My best Perch
of the day also around a pound.

My best bream
around the 2lb mark.

My Ide which
I weighed at 2lb 6oz.

Went to
Frisby on Tuesday 30th March and finally got round to properly fishing Sanctuary for the first time. Never spent
a day on it before, just a bit of fruitless lure chucking for pike and a few hours unsuccessful perch fishing on
prawns. Set up on my 5 metre whip and fishing a combination of maggots and worms on the hook, I had a nice mixed
bag including perch to about 6oz, a small tench, roach up to about 10 ounces and a fair few bream, most of which
were about 1lb+ and also one (pictured) that went 3lb exactly on the scales. A nice two toned fish which took a
worm and gave a good account of itself on light tackle. I shall return.
Went to
Frisby with Jake on Sunday 21st February for a perch session. Starting on Colver, we eventually moved to Jason's
and finally to Smiggies. Just before dark, I managed to hook a perch, only about 3/4 of a pound but it came off.
Just ten minutes earlier though, I did manage to catch one of the new residents on a bunch of maggots which
weighed 1lb 7oz.
Retuning to
Frisby by myself on Monday 22nd at around 1pm, I headed up to Jurassic for a few hours piking. Managed to catch
one pike weighing 4lb 8oz on a suspended roach deadbait.

Went to
Frisby Monday 15th February and all the lakes were frozen solid with over an inch of ice.
I returned on
Tuesday 16th and the ice was pretty much gone so I set up on Jason's to do a spot of piking. Fished it a few
times recently but have been getting frustrated with pike following my baits and not taking them and a number of
dropped or missed runs.
Tuesday was more successful though and I managed 2 pike. The first one was 7lb 15oz (top) and the second I
would estimate at about 3lb. Enjoyed the capture of the smaller one more though as I saw it in the water, lunge out
of the cover and snap up my bait just as I started to retrieve it. I then watched the whole fight under water and
landed the fish (the advantage of polarised glasses). Both fish fell to Smelt.
