Jurassic 

 Round One

Well, first match of this year's matches and I was up at 1am for a trip to Birmingham Airport!! so thanks to Tom for making the draw. I arrived about 10 past 8 and, like me, Simon had missed the draw to so we slipped into the empty swims and started fishing. 

  Within a few casts as I was chatting to Jason and Tom not looking at my Pike fly. As I lifted off, I was showered in water as a Pike missed my fly in 30cm of water!

Change of colour and a few casts later fish on! Not big but great to be off the mark for the new series 1lb 8oz. As the match moved on Dave Caunt had a Pike at 4lb 11oz.

 I moved round chatting and catching up with the chaps and good to see a few new guys joining in with Alex, Thomas and Guntis all fishing the matches for the first time.

The sun shone on us all day not everyone caught but result below 

1st Pete Felstead 1lb 8oz  9lb 12oz  4lb 12oz Total 16lb 

2nd Mick Farmery  7lb 4oz one Pike 

3rd Dave Caunt  4lb 11oz one Pike 

4th Jason Farmery  1lb 2oz  3lb 8oz Total 4lb 10oz 

5th Tom Kent 2lb 10oz 

Alex,Tomas,Guntis,Dimitar,John,and Simon didn’t catch this time.
