Towards the end, the larger fish started to show with both Diane and Pat picking up some sizeable fish whilst the rest carried on in their own merry way. At the weigh in I knew it was going to be between Diane and Pat. As Pat was the last to weigh in, I eagerly waited to see if she had done it. Unfortunately for the 3rd time in succession Pat had came in as the runner up! with a good weight, though, of 20lb 5oz. She also told me she had lost a couple of sizeable Bream, one of which was just about to be landed!

Diane weighed in with 24lb 15oz to, again, for the 3rd year running, become the Ladies Champion, I was impressed with the number of Silvers fish and Bream in her net. Sarah weighed in with a creditable 6lb 2oz to claim 3rd spot.

After a very entertaining match we ended with the usual presentation of wine and chocolates. We all said our goodbyes and I looked forward to the Husband and Wifes match in two weeks time. We shall definitely have a different name on the trophy as both Keith (Dianes husband) and Den both gave their apologies, as they will not be able to attend.

Here's hoping that this match will be well attended with some good catches made.

See you there

Regards Roy
