As everyone had set up quickly I started the match 15 minutes early hoping for quite a good session.

From the start most competitors started catching small fish and it was obvious that to get any weights they had to target either the Silver fish near the surface or the larger Bream or Tench. Diane, to our right, seemed to have changed tactics and was catching the Silvers fairly regularly. Well the match progressed and the larger fish started to appear mid way through.

As I walked round to take photo's it was clear that Diane and Pat (according to Den, her husbands, response) was doing fairly well. Shelia had picked up a nice Bream whilst my wife Darna had a Tench of around the 3lb mark.
Sarah was picking up the odd decent fish as well as the smaller ones. It seemed to me that the match was going to go the same way as previous years and so it turned out to be....
