Spring was finally showing signs, with a few warm dry days the previous week and a forecast of a dry but cloudy day I was a bit miffed to wake up to rain again!
We made the draw and made are way to our chosen swims. Nine of us fished, the rain moved on and the rest of the day stayed dry.

Tomas was the first to catch at 7lb and later in the day went on to catch the same fish again!! giving him the win on the day.

One of Pete Felsteads legendary lures (above)

Guntis had one fish at 2lb 2oz. Alex and Tom also had one each. Pete fished around a few lakes and had five takes with two lost fish but three on the bank so a good day of action.

If just one of those lost fish had stuck it would of given him the win! But that’s fishing!!

So that’s this year’s season Pike Matches completed.
