The Rain held off for most of the day and, with Jurassic Lake low and clear from a dry spell, conditions seemed ideal for lure fishing. Despite covering a large area with soft bait shads, there was no early action. Switching to a slow-moving pike fly produced a follow but no take.

Dave landed the first fish at 11:15, weighing 5lb 1oz. Jamie later led with a 5lb 8oz pike. Pete Felstead moved to BJ’s, where a strong take in shallow reeds resulted in a 7lb pike—the final catch of the match. The day was tough, ending as rain began to fall. Hopefully, the next match yields better results.
