On the 27th of February 2010 at 5.45am I had a blistering take on my left hand rod which resulted in a battle which lasted 25 minutes with a stunning mirror carp on the landing mat, which weighed in at superb 25lb.

 I caught this beauty at one of Broome's lovely lakes at 50 yards range. It was my third visit having only previously caught them up to 19lb. I caught this on this on a piece of pepperami in conjuction with a solid pva bag of sweetcorn, amino groundbait and crushed meat.
