Derek takes the honours

Two Pike, one at 7lb and the other 8lb 2oz, were enough for Derek Cramp to take the first match in this seasons Pike League. The Pikers will be very happy if the weather stays the same for the rest of the series. Meadow Lane was a picture, with a fairly hard frost first thing, the sun soon came out to burn off the mist and then to create a lovely warm autumn day.

Tony Wincott was the other angler, out of the four that fished, to land a Pike...Tony's a fine 13lb 2oz specimen.
