Derek steals the show!

The penultimate round of the Pike League fared pretty much the same as the Winter League Match that was fished on the same day. The lads concentrated, mainly, on Jurassic and found it almost impossible to gain any response from Esox. In fact Match organiser, Mick Geary, had returned all of the stake money back to the contestants with about ten minutes remaining of the allotted time. This action must have inspired Derek Cramp, though, as with the very last cast of the days competition Derek hooked into a 6lb 9oz fish to scoop the pot!!

Derek has framed in every Pike Match fished this season and his consistancy has taken him to the top of the league. With just one match left, to be fished on 27th February, Derek will be the man to beat....
