It was Paul Cooke who took the honours in the Jason's lake half of the Match with a fine weight of 49lb 10oz from peg 10. Fishing method feeder toward the gap between the two halves Cookie caught from the off adding fish regularly to build his winning weight.

Second placed Phil Sansby needed just three fish from the edge of the spit on peg 9 to weigh in with 30lb 9oz! All caught using dead maggot on the Long Pole. After two fish in quick succession it was, very much, a case of patience; waiting for the last half for the "clincher" to come along .

Third place on the Lake went to Steve Beckhurst who netted four Carp and three decent Skimmers to put 26lb 1oz on the scales. Again it was Pole fished dead maggot that was the most successful combination.

It was a real "Red Letter" day for Paul Edwards where it seemed as if almost every fish in the lake was feeding in his peg!! Sat on peg 43, shaded by the trees at the back, he was sitting fishing in a tee shirt all day whilst everyone else was freezing in the bitter wind . Catching fish from the first whistle to the last Paul won easily with a fantastic 125lb 5oz.

It was definitely a case of "End pegs Rule OK" as Den Porter, on peg 21, came in second with 68lb 9oz. It seemed very strange as everyone pegged in between really struggled. It was only Mick Nash, who was next to Paul, who really caught much. his 34lb 13oz winning him third place from peg 40.
